The Pyramid (2014) Fitzie Discovers Anubis
Anubis is a character and the main villain in the film, The Pyramid. He was completely CGI-generated and had no actor to play him. Anubis was an ancient god who judged the dead.
However, he was also a vile and depraved being and was therefore banned from the afterlife as he didn't have a pure soul.
In order to get into heaven and reunited with his father, Osiris, he tried to find a pure human soul. He did this through taking out their heart and weighing it.
To keep it inside, the temple was guarded by an aggressive breed of sphinx-cats and filled it with death traps.
In , a group of Free Mason explorers discovered the temple and encountered Anubis during their exploration. Although they discovered an escape route, Anubis hunted all of them down, killing them and judged their hearts.
In , a group of archaeologists rediscovered the temple who eventually went to explore the temple.
The rest of the crew were found however by an Egyptian soldier, Shadid who came to save them. His rescue mission was cut short however, when he was attacked by Anubis.
After the long winding passageways, one reaches the main tomb of the pyramid's pharaoh, a large grand room with flaming torches on either side and two stone sphinx heads.
The pharaoh's perfectly symmetrical and intricately carved sarcophagus is located at the far end of the tomb. When the Witch necromancer Samantha starts controlling the dead inside the Pyramid Anubis to multiply and create an army of the dead, Death the Kid, Liz Thompson and Patty Thompson go there to investigate, but Kid ends up going temporarily home to make sure if all of his picture frames are straight due to his obsessions.
Meanwhile, the Witch Samantha succeeds in resurrecting the Wrath of the Pharaoh --which proceeds to eat her. Liz and Patty, after dispatching the Witch's army of mummies, arrive in the Pharaoh's chamber, where he captures them.
Thankfully, Kid comes back just in time and the three do battle with the pharaoh, who is attacking from inside his sarcophagus.
Kid, at first, cannot attack as the sarcophagus is perfectly symmetrical, and is severely injured, but once the pharaoh comes out of his sarcophagus, revealing his hideous true form, Kid, furious at his ugliness, blasts it to pieces, heavily damaging the pyramid.
Anubis would then continue in hunting down the remaining two crew members, Fitzie and Dr. Nora Holden, the daughter of Dr.
Miles Holden. As they almost got away, both were captured by Anubis. Fitzie was killed off-screen by Anubis. The final and sole survivor, Nora, woke up as Anubis was ready to remove her heart.
However, she was able to cut off the ropes that were tied around her and attempted to escape from Anubis.
Fearing that her husband, Set, would discover her infidelity, Nephthys abandoned the newborn child. Isis, known for her maternal benevolence, found the child and adopted him.
She named the child Anubis, and he thereafter serverd as her loyal protector. Whether or not it was chopped into pieces—as Plutarch and other Greek historians suggest—or simply subject to natural decomposition is irrelevant.
Noting that Anubis left the wabet every night, Set devised a plan. Set would not able to make it far, however, before Anubis discovered the theft and set out in pursuit.
In an attempt to ward off his pursuer, Set turned himself into a bull. The jackal-god was not intimidated, however. Upon capturing Set, Anubis castrated him and imprisoned him in Saka, the 17th nome of Egypt.
Not one to be deterred, Set escaped his imprisonment and continued his mission. The plan failed, and Anubis caught him once more; the jackal-headed god punished Set by branding him with hot irons.
This myth thus explained how leopards became spotted. Again, he turned himself into Anubis, and again he was caught.
After catching Set yet again, Anubis killed him, flaying his skin and setting his body aflame. This myth is a little different as it fits outside of the Osiris-centric mythological canon.
Instead of the normal cast of Egyptian gods and goddesses, the ancient god Bata starred alongside Anubis. She was quite taken with what she saw, and invited Bata to bed with her.
When Anubis came home, she pretended that Bata had beaten her, saying that he had propositioned her and struck her when she declined. Now enraged, Anubis attempted to kill his brother.
Try as he might, however, he could not harm Bata; divine intervention prevented Anubis from taking his revenge.
The next day, Bata told Anubis his side of the story.
This section needs expansion. Retrieved December 8, His Ich Habe Nie jackal head has a pointed muzzle and long, alert ears. Another item he is sometimes seen carrying is Supercup ankh — an Egyptian symbol that meant life or immortality.
